Developed a comprehensive web platform for a Colorado-based custom welding and metal fabrication shop, featuring a project gallery showcase, real-time quote request system, and client portal for tracking job progress. The platform streamlined their customer intake process and reduced quote turnaround time by 60%.
The Challenge
The main challenge was creating an intuitive quote system that balanced automation with the need for custom pricing on unique fabrication projects. We solved this by implementing a tiered approach: instant estimates for standard projects and a detailed intake form for custom work. Additionally, we optimized image loading and compression to showcase high-resolution welding photos without sacrificing page speed, implementing lazy loading and WebP format conversion.
Our Approach
We built a mobile-first responsive platform that showcases Mountain Metal Works' craftsmanship through high-quality project galleries organized by service type (structural steel, custom gates, railings, etc.). The backend CMS allows the shop owner to easily upload project photos, update service offerings, and manage quote requests without technical knowledge. We integrated a custom quote calculator that factors in material type, project complexity, and timeline to provide instant preliminary estimates while capturing detailed project requirements for accurate final quotes.
